Some of us aren’t just a painter, photographer, poet, writer, graphic designer, musician, etc. There are those who do other forms of art as well.
The trouble with this is that there’s too much that you want to do. You want to shoot more photos and post process them, but then there’s also this painting you’ve been wanting to do. And all the while, there’s this book you’re supposed to be writing. Oh, and don’t forget, you should be getting in some practice time with your flute everyday.
There’s a lot on your plate and it can be pretty overwhelming. Especially, if you’re an amateur or beginner in those fields. Improving your craft would prove difficult since you have a handful of them. So what is it that you should do?
Decide which art matters to you most.
You have to decide which art matter to you most. Are you a writer first? A painter first? Whatever it is, this is your primary focus. It’s the art that you’ll spend most of your time and energy on improving. From there, you can go down the list.
Learn to manage your time wisely. If you truly love those other forms of art as well, you shouldn’t ignore them. You could have one day focused on painting, another focused on writing, and another on photography. One day doesn’t need to be just one art either, you could take some time doing something else. Fifteen minutes a day is still progress.
