Kristine Laurio. I’m a twenty year old from the island of Saipan, a U.S. territory. As a kid I loved art, specifically drawing and writing. But eventually, for some reason, I stopped doing art. High school brought back some art into my life: music, drawing, and poetry. Yet, it wasn’t until college when I took a painting class that I started to really fall in love with art. Photography, painting, writing, filmmaking—art in it’s different forms.
I haven’t dedicated as much time to my craft as I should have, but I’m changing that. I hope to create art that will be more, that will mean something, and maybe even make an impact.
A Girl’s Growth is about my journey towards that hope. It’s about my growth as an artist and as a person.
